"Song of Songs"

Solomon's Song of Songs was my inspiration for this three painting series. The love the Beloved had for his confident Bride could not be changed by any person. The grape leaves represent the vineyards the Bride was forced to work in.

The Bride Speaks:

"I am black but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, Like the tents of Kedar, Like the curtains of Solomon."
