When I am painting I always have music playing in my studio. Especially when I am doing a painting centering on music or praise and worship, the music I listen to comes through in my paintings. Jazz, blues and old time music from the hey day of Motown, all bring back good childhood memories. These memories influence my art.

I have always wanted to go to New Orleans and "City Drums" and "City Sax" was my vision of what I imagined it would be like.
